Teenagers/Young adults
Enlightenment Coaching offers a safe, secure and confidential environment for young adults to explore and gain understanding of themselves at crucial stage of their Mental, Emotional and Physical development.
In one form or another Stephen has been working with teenagers for the last 8 years and has worked at the cold front training people to engage with suicidal teenagers. Having had a difficult relationship with himself during these informative years Stephen now devotes part of his professional work, to coaching teenagers/young adults to move through life with a stronger sense of resilience and self confidence.
As effective change and the coaching process requires trust, the coaching process itself requires a healthy distancing from the parents and solely works to explore and understand the clients (young adults) needs and obstacles they perceive, In order to clear their way to reach their full potential in their life.
To do this, parents of young under 18 are required to give parental consent.
- For the concerned parents: the start of the first session is conducted with both themselves and their child present to discuss, safety, the coaching process and answer any question that need asking, after this point there is no further involvement with the parents unless their child is at risk somehow.(this will also be explained in more detail)
- For the teenager/young adult: The coaching process and what is discussed is not disclosed to the parents except under a few unique circumstances. (this will also be explained during the first session)
